Absence Policies
General
If your student is going to be absent, please notify us as soon as possible either by calling 707-474-4556 or by emailing us at contact@stetsonacademy.com. If you are emailing us, please include your student's name, the date of the absence, and the reason for the absence.
Appointments
If your student has a scheduled appointment, please notify us as at least 24 hours in advance to have the absence excused.
Long-term absence
Long-term absences are considered absences of 3 or more days. If your student is going to be absent for 3 or more days, please notify us at least 1 week in advance so that we can prepare make-up work.
Illness
We understand that you may not always be able to notify us in advance of an illness. If your student is ill, please notify us as soon as possible include the anticipated return date.
Vacation
We excuse up to 5 days of vacation per year. Vacation taken in excess of 5 days will be considered unexcused. To minimize the disruption to your student's education, please notify us at least 1 week in and, when possible, schedule vacations during school breaks.
