The Stetson Academy Kindergarten Program is intended to give students the experiences and education they require to succeed by meeting their academic and social needs. Children will develop social and communication skills through strategic play and project based learning. Their education will be supported by a rigorous academic curriculum of math, literacy, writing, and language development with science and social studies lessons integrated throughout.
Stetson Academy creates impactful learning through hands-on experiences. Students will raise rainbow trout, tadpoles, and chicks throughout the year! In addition, they will participate in several exciting field trips that complement the immersive learning experience. They will have opportunities to design, build, construct, and play in our various playroom transformations throughout the year.
Stetson Academy takes a comprehensive approach toward education. Rather than focusing solely on academics, we recognize that behavioral development is foundational to academic success. We work to instill and develop specific character traits such as empathy, kindness, accountability, confidence, responsibility, organization, integrity, stamina, and resilience, among others.
Maybe most importantly, Stetson Academy strives to instill of a love of learning in each child that will propel them forward in their academic career.
